Rebecca Gamble Voice Studio

Hello and welcome! 

I am a Downingtown based teacher of singing.  I am passionate about working with singers, elementary through high school students, to help them attain their authentic voice. As an experience teacher of singing, my goal is to teach healthy singing technique and foster a love of music so that everyone can continue singing as long as they want! Singing should be fun! 

I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance and a business minor from Eastern Kentucky University. I began singing in church at 5 years of age and have been singing in Church Choirs my entire life. I currently work part-time at J.W. Pepper & Sons, Inc which is a music distributing company headquartered in Exton, PA. This allows me to combine my love of music and my business chops into one!  I am  the former Director of Traditional Music Ministries at Hopewell United Methodist Church where I served many years over seeing the various choirs that included every age from children through adult choirs. 

Your lessons will be fun, productive and will include music theory basics. We will work together to find your true authentic voice.  We will also explore music in various styles that include:  musical theater (including Golden age), classical, art songs, and Contemporary pop music. I also help in preparing for college auditions and at community theaters, schools, etc. I especially enjoy audition prep for select school choirs and PMEA district choirs. My students regularly participate in their select school choirs, musicals, community theater performances, National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Student auditions at both the local and regional events, church choirs and Praise teams, along with PMEA District choirs, and some just sing for the shear joy of singing! 

What can you expect at your first lesson? A friendly, welcoming studio where I will assess your vocal range, discuss and set goals. We will also begin some basic warm-ups and breathing techniques. We will talk about what it means to sing in a healthy manner and vocal care. Finally, we will begin your first song! 

Memberships include: National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS); Greater Philadelphia Chapter of NATS, and the Voice Foundation, Philadelphia PA.
